On This First Day of Black History Month 2026: Why The Plantation When It Has So Much Negative History?

On This First Day of Black History Month I bring you the reason behind the creation of the plantation, its cultural significance and purpose. Pleasure Plantation was not always a thing but once it was it became more than a passion for me because it intersected with other culturally significant things. It could be an outlet for my brand of Black Feminism, my love of sex work and my creativity above all things and all at once.

Why the plantation when it has so much negative history? Because we are not allies, acquaintances or friends and I do this for the culture, to bring to the forefront what was forgotten about our historic Strong Black Women that paved the way during a time they had even less power than I as a Strong Black Woman today. And in spite of that, their legacies lived on but much of their wealth diminished or non-existent and I’m tired of that same of sad American love song.

Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Ms. Phoenix Rising the Madame & The Mistress. For we do have two sides and for once they shall both have their freedom and we shall not compromise. Allow us to collide. The time is just right.

We Are Not Allies, Acquaintances, or Friends

I come from a place where White Privilege, Black Power or the lack thereof and Racism are learned early as a badge of honor, a badge of shame or a matter of privilege if your family was educated. To be unread is not prized on this plantation and the more I learned, the more I came to understand that we are not allies, acquaintances or friends in this political and socioeconomic environment and that I need to remember that in this white patriarchal system.

And I know I cannot trust you therefore I cannot fuck you. I must always remind you of your place, but you must still serve and obey because that is the only way.

Being able to provide is much more important than being accepted by society or being seen as respectable in the White Male Patriarchy. I want you to remember that. As a Black woman I have always had to be skilled and cunning as the ends needed to be met. And in those times it was again that I learned we are not allies, acquaintances or friends.

The White Patriarchy, sexism, racism and even white branded feminism believe it or not has not always made it easy for women like me but I like things easy. I am your dream come true. I am the 1%. I am the the bad girl what won’t let the fake power of the White Patriarchy stop me. I will do what I must do. And I don’t care how it seems. Do I hate you or love you enough to fucking save you from your pathic White Patriarchy? I’ll let you decide.

I learned that you can lead a horse to water, but you can make him do anything you want him to do if you enslave and tame him through discipline and denial. History won’t let me forget all of the Strong Black Women before me that worked their Black Magik like it was an authority. The used what they had to use and they conquered and they tamed those that they needed to in a time where Black was seen more as exotic but not as beautiful.

Feminism & Racism and the White Patriarchy Today

Feminism isn’t just academic theory it is a lived experience and a learned perspective based on your class and surroundings so listen up closely. As much as sex work work can create power, it is often nested in what is perceived to be a skewed power dynamic and some are more lucky than others. Life isn’t fair but I don’t play by their rules; never have. Never will.

There will always be a skewed power dynamic if we allow the White Patriarchy to win. I am here to drain you and to work you to the bone so that I can relax my hard working hands and create this virtual plantation that I may gain from the work of my devoted white slaves who benefit from the White Patriarchy I intend to rob with no hands.

Welcome once again to Pleasure Plantation where you will be pleased to serve and worship me as I train and entertain you like the women who did it before me.
